We are celebrating our 40th anniversary
On Rail GmbH was founded in 1982 with a main focus on leasing rail vehicles and trading with freight wagons. Based on constant, healthy growth, a medium-sized enterprise evolved that is a well-known quantity on the market today.
In 2022 we turned 40 and still on the track for you.
Some relocations were necessary to adopt to the continuing growth in personnel and the associated workspace requirements. But On Rail GmbH always remained faithful to the local district town of Mettmann, and today the company headquarters are located in an innovative building on the town's outskirts.
Suppliers and customers, at the beginning mainly originating from Germany, today comprise from all over Europe. We serve a wide variety of customers from industry, forwarding, mining and track construction enterprises, steel-plants, chemical and mineral oil enterprises and private as well as state railways.
The German railway reform, the liberalisation of rail traffic and the current environmental politics led to a very positive development of On Rail and promise an exciting and successful future.
